ActiveSync and ActivePush
Microsoft mobile ActiveSync and ActivePush are technologies that provide Smart-capable devices with the ability to synchronize with Microsoft Exchange.
ActiveSync is available for all Microsoft-enabled mobile devices using Microsoft Mobile 2002 and above. ActiveSync allows the mobile device to connect to Microsoft Exchange either on-demand or on-schedule to synchronize Contacts, Calendar, Messages and Notes.
ActivePush is available for all Microsoft-enabled mobile devices using Microsoft Mobile version 5 and above. ActivePush is very much like ActiveSync, however whenever you receive a new message, Microsoft Exchange "pushes" the message to your mobile device, removing the need to manually synchronize or even on a schedule. |
